This Saturday we travel to Coleshill Town Football Club for our return fixture in the Evo-Stick Division 1 Central. Sutton last played them in December of last year where we lost 1-0.
The away team are from Coleshill in Warwickshire, and were founded in 1894 although their first ever recorded game was in November 1885 against Acocks Green. They were awarded a certificate by the FA in 1994 for recognition of 100 years in the Football Association although matches prior to this were either friendly or challenge matches. They currently play in the Southern League Division One Central.
Coleshill Town FC play at the Pack Meadow Stadium in Coleshill, a stadium which holds 2070 supporters. Coleshill have had a few nicknames in the past but the most recent is ‘The Colemen’ or ‘The Colts'. Their home kit is a white and blue shirt, blue shorts and blue socks, and their away kit is all red, red shirt, shorts and socks.
Sutton earned a credible away draw last weekend against one of their play off rivals. Today they are up against another side who are in and around the play off places. This is the third time Sutton have played Coleshill this season and are still yet to earn three points from their encounters; today must be the day if Sutton are going to stay up in the top half of the table and maintain close proximity to the play off places.
Let’s hope for a great day against our local rivals, one of the few we have in this league.
COME ON YOU ROYALS.
