I (Toothy) spoke to Jim about becoming captain at the end of last season and he was keen to step up and take on the extra responsibility. People think that Jim is experienced as he has been around the non league scene for a good number of years but he is still young at 24 and we both agreed that he needs to be more of a leader if he is to capitalise on his massive potential.

I want Jim to be the leader of this group both on and off the pitch and as part of the captains responsibilities we will sometimes include him some decisions on selection and our set up in games.
