This was a very close game with two evenly matched sides
The game was won by a single goal in the 26th minute scored by Hayley Chatwin following good work down the right, the ball came into the edge of the box and Chatwin fired through a crowd of players into the right-hand corner of the net
Both sides pressed forward but Sutton's defence held firm lead by skipper Ruth Graham and solid work by Chant and Sarah
Coundon were never out of it and excellent saves by keeper Chadlee Kerr kept a clean-sheet
The second-half again produced chances for both sides but Sutton were able to manage the game, keep possession at key times and finish the job against the league leaders
Player-of-the-match was keeper Chadlee Kerr who kept Sutton in the game with two outstanding saves
Boss Andy Burman said "Our aim was to keep a clean-sheet as we will always get a goal. It was a well managed performance by the team and a good debut by Rhiannon Travers. Credit must go to the Coundon keeper for her sportsmanship and a very good performance"
