The Ladies reached top spot in the division with a victory over Coventry Sphinx Ladies at Coles Lane

Sutton were out of the traps quickly, pressing Coventry and on 21 minutes Corinna Williams, with her pace, danced through the defence and rounded the keeper for the first goal

Coventry had rare attacks despite good possession in midfield but lacked any bite up front

Sutton pressure again paid off with a fantastic drive on the right by Laura Fryer on 41 minutes which flew past the Coventry keeper

Sutton were well in charge during the second-half and managed the game well and missed other opportunities to extend the lead

Pickford Solicitors player-of-the-match was Cheyanne Jarvis who worked hard down the left and created a number of chances for others
