In their first home game at Regional level, Sutton were eventually well beaten by an experienced Wyrley side
In good conditions Sutton started brightly, passing the ball well however unable to find any openings against an organised defence and, after giving the ball away cheaply, found themselves a goal down early on
Wyrley continued to hit long-balls at the Sutton backline and, after failing to field a long goal-kick, the lead was extended
Sutton had a strong 20 minutes either side of the break but found it difficult to find a way through the resolute defence
The Sutton defence then backed off from some direct running allowing a free shot on goal with the keeper stranded
Two further goals in quick succession killed the game off
Sutton battled well from start to finish with many positives from the young players, however they are still trying to find their feet in a very competitive league
