This weekend the Royals travel to Shropshire to face Market Drayton in their third meeting this season. The reverse fixture was won 2-0 by Sutton earlier in the season but Drayton won the League cup game 1-0 at their place, so its 1-1 for the season as a whole.
Market Drayton Town are based in Market Drayton in Shropshire and play at the Greenfields Sports Ground. They were founded in 1969 and were called Little Drayton Rangers. They are nicknamed The Gingerbread Men and play in a home kit of red shirt with black trim, red shorts and red socks. Their away kit is a blue shirt with a black trim, and blue shorts and socks.
They were Premier Division champions in 2005-06, and last won the Shropshire Premier Cup in 2015-16.
Market Drayton Town currently lie at the foot of the league, having only won once in their last seven games. They have 15 points from 23 games so far, whereas Sutton in 15th place have 23 points after 19 games. Market Drayton will be desperate for the win as they need to start getting points on the board to prevent relegation, but Sutton, who have only lost once in their last seven games will be keen to keep momentum as they climb the table.
Please come and support the lads as they are building a team which has grown in recent weeks and need your support.
Thank you for your continued support
Come on you Royals.
