Sutton travel away to Stocksbridge Park Steels this Saturday on the back of their fantastic away drubbing of Market Drayton last Saturday.

Stocksbridge Park Steels are a club based in South Yorkshire. The club was formed in 1986 after a merger between two clubs. They play in yellow and blue and reside at the Bracken Moor Ground and yes, you’ve guessed it, they are nicknamed the Steels. A note to be made is that one very famous player to have played for Stocksbridge from 2003-07 is non-other than Jamie Vardy, who currently plies his trade in the Premiership. So, who knows, we may see a future premiership player this Saturday.

Sutton will be keen to keep the momentum going and after beating Stocksbridge 3-0 at home. This was only a few weeks ago, so they will feel confident of getting a positive result in the reverse fixture.

Stocksbridge currently lie in fifth place on 39 points after 24 games played, whereas Sutton lie in fifteenth place on 26 points after only 20 games played.

Stocksbridge are unbeaten in their last five games after a four-game losing run. This was following on from Suttons victory over them at Coles Lane. So, it appears that Stocksbridge are in a purple patch at the moment, and Sutton will need to raise their game again to prevent them extending their run this weekend.

New boy Usher-Shipway seems to have settled straight in with 2 goals in his first two games, and has given the Royals a much-needed boost in attack.

A win this weekend could see The Royals on the brink of getting into the top 10 for the first time this season.
