It was a great win for the lads last Saturday with a 3-0 win in the cup against Lincoln, it was nice to see Sutton finally get some goals and get their just deserts from a good team performance.
This Saturday its back to league action with a home fixture against Sporting Khalsa a team who are currently sitting in 12th place with wins so far this season against Bedworth, Shepshed Dynamo, Ilkeston, and Yaxley. They will be buoyant after also having a great cup result against Loughborough Dynamo who they beat 6-3.
Sporting Khalsa are a side that loves to score goals scoring an amazing 40 goals in all competitions so far this season so The Royals defence will have their work cut out to prevent them from adding to that tally.
Sporting Khalsa are situated in the heart of the Black Country, in Willenhall, a suburb of Walsall.
They were formed in 1991 by the local Sikh Community, and they are the first British Asian club to own their own ground. The ground was purchased from Willenhall Town in 2010 after moving from Abbey Park, the former home of Bloxwich Town.
They are nicknamed the Lions, and currently play at Noose Lane in the Aspray Arena, they play in a yellow and blue strip.
Sutton played them previously in the WSC 14/15 season, where they won 1-0.
Can Sutton get up and running in the league this Saturday? Please come along to Coles
Lane to find out. It’s a 3pm kick off as usual, and hope to see you all there.
