Well, it’s been a difficult week for Sutton having the management team and a few players leave the club. But it’s football as usual this Saturday, with a league match away to Shepshed Dynamo.
Shepshed are currently in 13th spot having had four wins against Daventry, Histon, Wisbech, and Soham Town Rangers. They have not won in the last 6 league games, so Sutton will be looking to capitalize on their current form. Sutton however, have also not won in their last 4 league games and sit in 17th place just above the relegation zone, so this has to be a game Sutton must get something out of.
Shepshed Dynamo are based in the small town of Shepshed in Leicestershire. They were founded in 1994 after reforming under this new name due to financial difficulties; their previous name was Shepshed Charterhouse. They are nicknamed The Dynamo and play at the Dovecote stadium.
They play in black and white striped shirts at home and yellow away, Martin O’Neill used to manage them back in the late 80s before he moved to Leicester City.
The last time Sutton played Shepshed away was in 2011/12 where we drew 2-2 at the Dovecote Stadium. While a draw wouldn’t be a bad result, it would certainly feel like 2 points had been dropped at this crucial stage of the season.
Let’s get behind the team during this challenging time and bring back the 3 points from Leicestershire.
