Sutton Coldfield Town Versus Boston United 3rd F.A cup qualifier.
Sutton are in fantastic form at present with a six-game unbeaten run going into this game.
Its going to be a tough game though against National League side Boston who currently lie in ninth position. They are a team in a higher position than our previous opponents Kettering Town.
Boston have won their previous two games, and have also beaten Kettering Town in recent weeks.
Boston are a club based in Lincolnshire, and currently play in the National League North. The club are nicknamed The Pilgrims in reference to the Pilgrim Fathers. The Pilgrim fathers left England and sailed to North America where they founded Boston, Massachusetts.
The clubs crest is and the Pilgrim Father’s ship ‘The Mayflower’, and this is also a reference to them. The club plays in amber and black, and is only one of 12 clubs in the country to run a centre of excellence. The club was founded in 1933 and is currently managed by Craig Elliot.
This Saturday will be one of the most important games in Suttons recent FA cup history, and a win on Saturday would put us on the brink of the first round proper. This has not been achieved since the early 90s when we played Bolton.
We hope to see as many people down at Coles Lane as possible, as Boston will be bringing many fans with them and we will need a louder voice this week for definite.
We will be collecting for the lights again this week, so throw your loose change in the bucket when you see it please, you know it just weighs your pockets down lol.
Thanks for your continued support.
