Royals manager Neil Tooth has spoken of his delight that the first batch of Foundation player's have signed first team forms.
We caught up with manager Toothy this morning who had the following to say, "Im absolutely delighted that the lads have signed forms and they will be included in the squad for the cup match with Loughborough tonight. We have had the lads in training with us for the last month and they have fitted in well and held there own so its only fair that they get the chance to impress in a game."
The 4 lads signed are James Price, Danny Kidane, Callum Foster and Alex Lewin and there are more in the wings waiting for the call. Former 1st team manager Chris Keogh heads up the foundation course and he was also full of praise for the lads making the step up and he is confident they will fit straight in.
"Its great news that the foundation lads are getting the chance to join the first team" said Chris, "It proves that what we are doing is working, these lads work really hard in training as well as academically so for them to be involved gives the other players something to aim for".
Kick Off this evening is 7.45pm
