This was always going to be a close game and so it proved with just the one goal scored in the 40th minute by Cheyanne Jarvis, following a break down the left and a low shot into the net from a wide angle
Both sides had fairly equal possession and opportunities in the first-half with Crusaders hitting the long-ball and creating options wide
In the second-half Hayley Chatwin and Chantai Ahmed both went close for Sutton and Crusaders sent several shots over the bar or wide
Sutton's defence held firm and saw the game out despite late pressure from Crusaders
Player-of-the-match was Hayley Chatwin who worked tirelessly on her own up front for most of the game
Other notable performances came from Elisha Davis, Sarah Lampitt, Chantai Ahmed and captain, Ruth Graham
Boss Andy Burman said "This was a well managed and controlled performance from the Ladies. Crusaders are a stubborn side who grind out results. We had that little bit of extra quality when it mattered"
