In what was a fairly even game Sutton created the more clear-cut chances with Stockingford doing well at set-plays
In open play it was equal with a 0-0 half-time scoreline
The second-half followed a similar pattern until Stockingford got a penalty as a result of a foul in the box
The player ran up and struck the ball to the keeper's right and Hannah Tromans, on her debut, dived and made an excellent save to keep it all square
Ten minutes later Sutton were awarded a penalty after a foul on Hayley Chatwin but the spot-kick was put just wide
Sutton had further opportunities to take the lead through Imogen Fisher and Niamh Deasy
In the 89th minute Sutton got the winner through a great move down the left with Laura Fryer getting the ball to Abbie Hyland who put in a superb low cross for Niamh Deasy to finish first time
Player-of-the-Match was keeper Hannah Tromans for the penalty save and her general handling
Manager Andy Burman said "This was a tight game which could have gone either way, so credit to Stockingford for pushing us all the way. Another good all round team effort. That bit of quality at the end got us over the line"
