As with the FA Cup earlier in the season, the Ladies made history by progressing further than ever before in the Birmingham County Cup on Sunday
Both sides had early opportunities to score but poor finishing kept the score at 0-0 until the 20th minute when Sutton got a fortunate penalty-award which captain Ruth Graham slotted home high into the Moors net
On 26 minutes Moors got the equaliser with a good header at the near-post
In the second-half Sutton came more into the game and gained more possession as the home-side began to fade
The game was won in classic Hayley Chatwin style following a quality through-ball and a finish from 15 yards out with a calmly slotted low-shot past the Moors keeper
Player-of-the-Match was Harriet Roberts for a superb display of hard-work, drive and pitch discipline
Manager Andy Burman said "You are always going to get a hard game playing a team a league above and that proved to be the case. It was fairly even for the whole game and we got the break right at the end"
