It was a fine away win for the Ladies in their first league game of the season, in what was a professional performance from start to finish
Sutton went into a 3-1 lead at half-time with goals from Ally Forbes (17), Imogen Fisher (24) and Jamie-Leigh Fowler (28) with Lye scoring a direct free-kick from distance to get one back
In a totally dominant second-half Sutton added a further three goals from Abbie Hyland (57), Imogen Fisher (73) and Jamie-Leigh Fowler (75) to wrap up a well-deserved victory
Lye worked hard but Sutton were always comfortable with a solid defence who contained any threat and pushed on to win the ball and develop attacks from the back
Player-of-the-Match was Sophie Levick who dominated midfield, created some assists and worked exceptionally hard for ninety minutes
Manager Andy Burman said "A very good performance from everyone, with your main striker missing and your second striker having to come off after fifteen minutes adjustments had to be made with everyone pulling together. Credit to all the players, we are now off the mark and looking forward to next Sunday in the Women's FA Cup at home to Wolves"
