Ladies dig deep to grind out victory
It was so good to get back into it after yet another break!
The Ladies found it hard going in the first-half with a couple of chances falling to Niamh Deasy and new signing Chloe Coldicott hitting the bar
Sphinx worked hard and made it difficult for Sutton to get a foot-hold in the game
After a wake-up call, Sutton began the second-half more positive and energetic
Sphinx still provided stubborn opposition without creating any real threat to the Sutton goal
On 82 minutes Jamie-Leigh Fowler brushed the ball into the net after a pin-point free-kick from Ruth Graham and on 89 minutes Niamh Deasy fired into the bottom-corner to seal the game for Sutton
Player-of-the-Match was Harriet Shaw-Roberts for her determination and defensive play with notable performances from Sophie Levick, Jamie-Leigh Fowler and Ruth Graham
