This was always going to be a tough game with two good sides competing against each other
Stourbridge had the better of the early exchanges and should have taken the lead in the first five minutes with a dangerous cross from the right that was scrambled away by the Royals
A further opportunity gave the home side a shot from the edge of the box which narrowly went over the bar
The home side were again having the better of the opportunities and Sutton had a number of chances following quick breaks out
The Royals finally got the break-through in the forty-fifth minute when a cross ball out to the left was met by Sophie Levick who flicked it over the defender and slotted home at the near post
The second-half started with a bang when Sophie Levick scored a header from a Ruth Graham free-kick just two minutes into the half
Stourbridge continued to push but rarely penetrated the Sutton defence, relying on long-balls forward
Sophie Levick completed her hat-trick on sixty-two minutes with a solo effort down the left-wing and cut into the box to fire in low past the Stourbridge keeper
Sutton then managed the game out for a well-earned victory
Manager Andy Burman said "It's a joy to play in games like this where its really competitive and early on it could have gone the other way. Stourbridge are a good side and will be up there at the end. Delighted for our players who all worked together as a team to manage the game and support the individual skills of hat-trick hero Sophie Levick"
