A much improved Royals performance compared to recent weeks

Starting with a new shape and a debut for eighteen year-old Neve Jones in goal

The Royals were out of the traps quickly and closed down Sphinx at every opportunity and the pressure told on twenty-three minutes when captain Ruth Graham slotted home a penalty into the Sphinx net

Already relegated Sphinx worked hard and were physical without much threat and Neve Jones stood firm in the Royals goal

On the half-hour Sophie Levick fired home following some good interchange play

The second-half began much as the first with the Royals pressing and working hard

On fifty-three minutes U18 striker Lucy Morris ran onto a through-ball and advanced at speed and slid the ball past the advancing keeper

For the second week in a row, Player-of-the-Match was centre-back Ella Spears who dominated and distributed the ball in a safe, calm manner to begin attacks
