For the first home League game of the season it was a minutes silence as a mark of respect for the passing of HM Queen Elizabeth II and black armbands were worn by the home-side
The first thirty minutes saw pretty much one-way traffic as the Royals ran up a three-goal advantage with two from Carly Aldred and one from Cheryl Edwards
The visitors put up some resistance with nine players behind the ball and some competitive tackling
The second-half saw Coundon come close with some long range efforts and a series of corners which were well defended
The fourth Royals goal came from a well-worked series of passes which came to Carly Aldred on the edge of the box and she fired high into the Coundon net
A move started by Caitlin Hopwood down the right with a quality cross which was superbly finished first-time by debutant Phoebe Hopwood with a right-foot volley which was swept into the left-hand side of the Coundon net
Player-of-the-Match was Carly Aldred with a great performance and a quality hat-trick
We move on to next Sunday when we visit Kidderminster Harriers in what will be a competitive game
