However the defeat did not dampen their celebratory-spirit, as the League trophy was presented after the final-whistle
Sutton almost opened the scoring in the opening-minute, when good work by Rameyah Farquharson saw a chance for Chloe Finn which was dealt with by the Worcester goalkeeper
After 5 minutes a corner played in by Chloe Handy was cleared off the line by a Worcester defender
2 minutes later Jordan Atkin had a chance which went just wide of the post
Charlotte Worth saw a header land in the goalkeeper’s hands with 10 minutes played
Injury forced Annabelle Jones off after 15 minutes
Handy had a shot from just outside the penalty-area in the 18th minute that the goalkeeper held well
A minute later the goalkeeper again held a shot well, this time from Farquharson

After 75 minutes Atkin was forced off through injury
Aimee Taylor was unable to connect properly with 10 minutes to go and saw her shot sail well wide
Taylor missed by inches 2 minutes later as the ball flew just the wrong side of the far-post
Another chance came less than a minute later, but Farquharson’s deflected shot was comfortable for the Worcester goalkeeper
Farquharson almost equalised in stoppage-time, but yet again the Worcester keeper produced a fine-save to keep her team in front
There was still time for Farquharson to hit a shot from outside the penalty-area just past the post
Yet another save following a deflected effort was cleared by a Worcester defender, just before any Sutton player could tap the loose-ball into the net
