Sutton moved 8 points clear at the top of the League with victory over second-placed Kidderminster Harriers

However Kidderminster almost took the lead after 20 seconds when a strike from wide stung the palms of Sutton goalkeeper Lottie McElroy

A header towards goal was comfortably held by McElroy after 18 minutes
Just past the half-hour mark Rameyah Farquharson saw a powerful strike tipped onto the post, with only the Kidderminster goalkeeper’s fingertips preventing Sutton from taking the lead
3 minutes later Chloe Handy hit a strike from distance that was no trouble for the goalkeeper
With 10 minutes left of the half Farquharson was unable to properly connect with a cross, resulting in the ball bouncing harmlessly through to the goalkeeper
Chloe Finn had a shot from distance after 39 minutes, however this was straight at the goalkeeper and held comfortably
A fantastic clearance off the line prevented Sutton from going in front in the 42nd minute, when a header from a corner was acrobatically hooked clear
Handy had an effort from a free-kick that landed on the crossbar as the first-half entered into stoppage-time
The last kick of the half saw Farquharson strike a free-kick straight into the grasp of the goalkeeper

Jordan Atkin hit a strike from distance the goalkeeper did well to hold on to after 52 minutes
A minute later Atkin was denied a goal when the referee judged her to have used her hands when bundling the ball home from close-range
A header flew just wide of the far post after a mix-up in the Kidderminster penalty-area after 56 minutes
Within 60 seconds Sutton had another chance, when a long-range effort from Farquharson was held by the goalkeeper
Handy hit a shot over the crossbar just before the hour-mark as Sutton kept up the pressure
A good save by the Kidderminster goalkeeper kept out Atkin after 65 minutes, with the rebound being volleyed wide by Handy
Freya Smith hit the crossbar from distance 2 minutes later
A corner was headed over by captain Ruth Graham with 68 minutes played
From the resulting goal-kick, Atkin picked up the ball and went on a run that finished with a shot that forced a near-post save and earned the Royals another corner-kick
The pressure finally told when Graham headed the resulting corner into the net to put Sutton 1-0 up
After 75 minutes is was 2-0, when a long-range effort from Smith flew into the top-corner
2 minutes from time a clever turn and strike from just outside the penalty-area flashed just over McElroy’s goal
Smith had a chance to make it 3-0 a minute later but saw her shot clear the crossbar
McElroy made a great save in stoppage-time to preserve her clean-sheet, diving across her goal to push away a header from a corner
Deep into stoppage-time another strike from distance was well held by McElroy
