Royals held at home

Sutton were forced to settle for a point after a tough encounter with Shrewsbury Town

The first shot of the game came in the 4th minute, when a long-range effort from Sarah Lampitt was comfortably dealt with by the Shrewsbury goalkeeper

2 minutes later Sutton goalkeeper Lottie McElroy was called into action, making a save at her near-post

A free-kick from captain Ruth Graham drifted harmlessly wide after 12 minutes

Shrewsbury took the lead in the 15th minute, when the striker produced a clever finish to beat McElroy

Shrewsbury had another effort from long-range that cleared the crossbar by some distance 3 minutes later

It took until the 32nd minute for the next chance to come, when Aimee Taylor tested the Shrewsbury goalkeeper before seeing the flag go up for offside

A Shrewsbury player was sin-binned 10 minutes prior to half-time

5 minutes later Jordan Atkin had a shot from just inside the penalty-area that went wide of the near-post

Atkin drew Sutton level with 8 minutes to play with a calm finish when played through one-on-one with the goalkeeper

After 87 minutes great link-up play between Atkin, Rameyah Farquharson and Chloe Handy saw the latter played in on goal, however the Shrewsbury goalkeeper was alert to the danger and came out to smother the shot from close-range

As the game moved into stoppage-time, a long-range effort from Georgia Murphy proved no trouble for the Shrewsbury goalkeeper

A Shrewsbury counter-attack following a free-kick was brilliantly halted by Charlotte Cresswell deep into stoppage-time, resulting in a Sutton counter-attack that saw Graham force a good save from the Shrewsbury goalkeeper

The resulting corner saw another chance for Graham well saved by the goalkeeper
