Sutton suffered there first defeat of the season in a tight encounter on a heavy pitch

Sutton lost a player in the warm up through injury and another after 10 minutes and soon found themselves 2-0 down against a well organised and physical opposition

Sutton slowly battled their way back into the game but failed to find a way through before half-time

The Royals continued to gain momentum in the second half and had the better of the chances

They finally pulled a goal back on 87 minutes when Cassidy shot through a crowd of players

In a frantic final 3 minutes Sutton thought they had salvaged a point when Wolverhampton turned a cross into their own net, but the goal was ruled out for offside
