Sutton earned their second away win of the season with an excellent performance against a very strong Stourbridge side
On a big pitch the game swung from end to end in a frantic first-half with both sides moving the ball quickly up the pitch and both keepers were kept busy
Sutton opened the scoring when Rachel Akinyemi broke free of the defence and was brought down by the keeper resulting in a penalty
Asya Osman stepped up and coolly slotted into the corner
The second-half continued in the same way as the first with both teams attacking at every opportunity
Akinyemi was put through again and calmly slotted the ball under the advancing keeper for 2-0
Although both teams were tiring, Stourbridge continued to push hard for the breakthrough and Cresswell in the Sutton goal was forced into several fine saves despite playing on with a shoulder injury
With the clock ticking Stourbridge won a free-kick on the edge of the Sutton box and a fine strike brought the score back to 2-1
