Disciplined display ensures another fantastic victory

Sutton produced a gritty and determined performance to earn victory over high flying Starlands in their first home match of the season

The Royals started brightly and were rewarded after only seven minutes when Asya Osman pounced on a loose ball in the box to fire home off the crossbar

Well organised in defence and midfield, Sutton stood up to the challenge of Starlands lively frontline and restricted the visitors to long range efforts which were comfortably dealt with by the reliable Kang-Mullen in goal

The second-half continued as the first with Sutton creating chances with some neat build up play while Starlands kept the Sutton defence on their toes

Sutton were rewarded with a second when Williams provided a pin point cross for Osman to bag her second of the day with a neat volley over the keeper

Starlands pulled one back late on but Sutton remained strong to earn a 3rd victory of the season

Notable performances from Warhurst and Hamid in midfield

Player-of-the-match was Amber Barnard who was solid at left-back as well as an attacking force going forward
