Royals travelled to a very windy Stoke for what they knew would be a tough game against Port Vale
The game started off with Sutton stuck in their own third and Neve Jones pulling off some simply outstanding saves
However eventually the barrage of early chances gave way to an opener for Port Vale
Battling with injuries and against the wind made it tough for Sutton to break out and despite resilient defending Vale went in at the half 4-0 up, including one long range pearler
The second-half saw Sutton create some good chances, but as always whilst pushing at one end they were left exposed at the other and conceded on the break twice
A difficult game for the Royals against many factors but the ladies pushed until the end
A notable mention to debutant Mel Price who battled well in midfield all game
