Sutton welcome Loughborough Dynamo to Coles Lane in the hope of rediscovering some form, and banishing the sorry defeat to neighbours Boldmere and Lye in recent weeks. The Royals welcome a new Manager to Coles Lane after the two-week break, in the form of Cameron Stuart. Everyone at the club wishes him well for the rest of the season.
Loughborough lie in 8th position after 7 games on 11 points, whereas Sutton sit just above the relegation zone in 15th place, and with just 6 points after the same number of games.
Sutton’s main problem in recent months has been conceding goals, letting in 11 in their opening 7 games in the league. Worrying,
especially as they are just 1 point above the relegation zone.
Loughborough Dynamo are based in Leicestershire and play at the Nanpantan Sports Ground. They are nicknamed the Moes and were founded in 1955.
The club was established by pupils from Loughborough Grammar school who were rebelling against the school’s rugby only policy and secretly formed a football team.
The Moes took their name from Dynamo Moscow who had recently visited England to play Wolverhampton Wanderers. They play in a gold and black home strip (taken from Wolverhampton Wanderers), and a green and white away strip
Last time we met Loughborough Dynamo was back in January, when we drew 2-2 in the league at Coles Lane.
Loughborough are playing well having beat Walsall Wood, Cambridge City, and Rushden and Diamonds. Plus, they’ve had 2 draws against Shepshed and Hinckley. They have scored 15 goals in those games, which means the Sutton defence will need to be on their A game to keep them at bay.
Sutton will be looking to their forward players to shoot on sight this Saturday, as goals are desperately needed to get the points on the board and to entertain the crowds.
Hope as many of you can come as possible as we need to continue in a positive manor and gain momentum in the league.
Come on you Royals.
