Tomorrow we welcome our Division 1 opponents Welwyn Garden City FC. Welwyn were founded in 1921 shortly after the first house to be built was completed. Welwyn Garden City FC have a nickname of The Citizens and play at the BP Mitchell Stadium, in Herns Lane, Hertfordshire.
The stadium holds 2500 supporters, and The Citizens play on a grass pitch of 109 x 72 yards.
Welwyn City Garden FC play in a home kit of a claret and sky-blue shirt, claret shorts and sky-blue socks. The away kit is a yellow shirt, black shorts and black socks and the goalkeeper wears the same colours.
Sutton are desperate for a win after losing last Saturdays game, and are falling fast from the 5th place they were so nearly grasping in recent weeks. Today Sutton will need to find a win or play offs will be out of reach you would feel, as other teams around them are picking up points regularly.
Welwyn are on an unbeaten run of six games and are the draw specialists. With 5 of those games being draws, hopefully Sutton can win this reverse fixture which saw the last game having some controversy over unfair sportsmanship.
Will Sutton make the Citizens pay for their misdemeanours with three points this Saturday? Come down to Coles lane this Saturday and support the lads.
We will be continuing the bucket collection for any loose change you may have, the on-going fundraising for the new floodlights carries on, so anything you can give we would be truly grateful for.
Thank you for all the donations you have given us so far.
COME ON YOU ROYALS.
