The Royals are delighted to announce that Kobe Chong has signed a professional deal with Championship side Peterborough Utd.

Manager Neil Tooth had the following to say, "We are absolutely delighted for Kobe that he has been offered a contract and the opportunity to play full time professional football with Peterborough Utd. We have known about this for two weeks but we agreed with Peterborough that we would wait until they got the news out before we went to press."

"In my time as manager of Sutton I have been blessed with some fantastic players but Kobe is easily the hardest working most committed player I have ever worked with so to see that hard work pay off for him makes us all very proud . From Day 1 he has shown that he wanted to play pro football and I am confident he will go onto have a very good career as training every day with professionals will make him even better. We have been working more on getting under the skin of our players this season and one of the tasks for them was to explain to us why they play non league football Kobe's reply was "I want to play football for a living as I just love football and cant live without it" and that tells you everything you need to know about the lad.

Good Luck Kobe from all at the Royals.
