Sutton started this league game well and it was no surprise when they went ahead midway through the first half. A well worked free kick was side footed home from close range by Romario Rose.

The lead was short lived however, as a minute later Stourport were level, their pacy striker doing well to hold off a challenge and slot the ball into the net. The game then became more even, with both sides playing some decent football.

Sutton regained the lead just before the break when Will West's corner caused a scramble in the box and Will Jones forced the ball home from close range.

Stourport had the better of the opening stages of the second half and levelled again when a corner was headed into the net. Sutton got stronger as the half wore on and clinched all three points when Romario Rose cut inside and fired a fine shot into the bottom corner. Final score 3-2.
