Sutton put on a fantastic display against West Brom and could have gone ahead after just 5 minutes when Rachel Akinyemi shot wide after breaking clear
Again Akinyemi took on the Albion defense and the keeper just got her finger tips to a chipped shot
West Brom were kept at bay and were restricted to long shots and deep crosses which were cleared by Sutton
In the second-half Albion got the break in the 65th minute following a corner when the ball came loose and they finished from close range
Minutes later Ruth Graham headed a shot off the line
The last quarter of an hour saw Sutton have two further opportunities to draw level but Albion saw out the game
Albion were unable to contain Cheyanne Jarvis on the left as she got clear many times
Player-of-the-match was keeper Chadlee Kerr who made some excellent saves, controlled her box well and was a complete rock
Manager Andy Burman said "You wouldnt have known who was the higher level team if you watched this game. The players proved that they are capable of playing at a higher level today and fully deserved something out of it"
