With both teams level on points going into this final game, the League Title was up for grabs and Kewford came out on top to become Birmingham County Champions
Kewford had more of the ball in the opening minutes and were quickly out of the blocks when a short corner routine caught Sutton cold and a loose ball was fired low into the net
Sutton played their way into the game and started to threaten through the pace of Leanne Rose and also Hyland attacking down the left
A fine save from a header by the Kewford keeper kept them ahead at the break
Needing to win the game due to inferior goal difference, Sutton pushed players forward and the game opened up
Sutton had chances, hitting the woodwork twice, but were unable to put the chances away
Kewford began to find more space and Cresswell kept Sutton in it with some brave keeping at the feet of the Kewford strikers
Eventually the cracks in Sutton's defence led to Kewford capitalising with two late goals to win the title
Congratulations to Kewford who are worthy winners
It was also a fine season for Sutton who finished well clear of the pack in second and will, hopefully, be accepted into the Regional league and gain a second promotion in two seasons
