It was a difficult game for the lads last weekend with conditions very poor, but they overcome it to produce a great victory over Daventry. This Tuesday will see cup action back for Sutton as they take on Sporting Khalsa in the Walsall Senior Cup.
Sporting Khalsa are situated in the heart of the Black Country, in Willenhall, a suburb of Walsall.
They were formed in 1991 by the local Sikh Community, and they are the first British Asian club to own their own ground. The ground was purchased from Willenhall Town in 2010 after moving from Abbey Park, the former home of Bloxwich Town.
They are nicknamed the Lions, and currently play at Noose Lane in the Aspray Arena, and they play in a yellow and blue strip.
Sutton and Sporting are in the same league and both sit in 10th and 5th place respectively with an eleven-point gap between the two sides. So, on paper, Sporting with home advantage, and going by results so far this season, will be favourites to go through.
Sutton played Sporting Khalsa at Coles Lane only a few weeks ago, losing out 3-2 on the afternoon with such a bad start on the day. This time round Sutton will be better prepared to prevent them from getting the upper hand.
