Sutton take on Cambridge City this Wednesday evening with the hope that it will be a case of third time lucky that this fixture can be played.
Cambridge, so far have had a mixed bag in the League, but have been performing well in recent weeks having won 5 out of their last 8 games. They have 46 points from 31 games and are in 8th spot.
Sutton have had a difficult run this season, but wins against Stamford and Bedworth in recent weeks have given a little breathing space to Thorpe and his men.
Sutton are in 17th spot on 29 points, which is eleven points clear of the relegation spot, and a win on Wednesday would see them comfortably clear of the bottom three.
Cambridge City are based in Impington and play at The Bridge. They currently ground share with fellow League team Histon while their new ground is being built at Sawston. They were founded in 1908 and are nicknamed the Lilywhites. They play in black and white at home and light blue and white away.
Earlier in the season Sutton lost 1-0 to Cambridge, but the last time we played them away was back in 2018 when we won 2-0, and a repeat of this would be most welcome.
Hope as many of you can go to see The Royals away as possible, and cheer them on to a valuable three points.
