After a disappointing exit from the Birmingham Senior Cup on Tuesday night, attention is now focused back onto the league, with a local derby against local rivals Boldmere St Michaels.
Boldmere have had an outstanding start to the campaign, and currently sit in 5th spot in the league with the playoffs a real possibility.
After 23 games Boldmere have 12 wins and have 41 points to their name, where as Sutton have had a tougher season with only 8 wins out of 22 games played and sit in 13th spot.
Boldmere St Michaels are a football club based in Boldmere. They play at Trevor Brown Memorial ground, a ground which was named after their former chairman. The ground currently has a capacity of 2500 of which 230 are seated. They are nicknamed the Mikes and were founded in 1883 as a youth football team attached to the local church bible class. They played other local church teams in friendlies until 1912, when they entered their first football league.
They play in home shirts of white and black with black shorts and black and white socks.
The last time these two sides met was back in August where Boldmere won 2-1. In fact, Sutton have struggled against Boldmere for some time, so a positive result is long overdue.
Boldmere have many of Suttons old players including Gwilliams, Jake Burgess, Aris Christophorou, Ben George, Steven Palmer, Joel Powney and Curvin Ellis, so just a few familiar names.
Sutton will need to bring their A game to beat this very successful outfit, can Sutton do it or will it be a similar story, one thing’s for sure, they will need the backing of the Ultras to get the points.
So come on down and cheer the lads to 3 points.
