After a two week break, Sutton take the short trip to Northamptonshire to take on Corby Town, and they’ll be feeling confident after an impressive display last time out against table toppers Stamford.
Corby, based in Corby Northamptonshire were formed in 1948. They are nicknamed The Steelmen and play at Steel Park.
Corby were Premier Division Champions in 2008-9 and 2014-15. They previously won back-to-back league titles in the United Counties League 1950-51 and 1951-52 before joining the Midlands League.
Corby have had a good run recently, and remain unbeaten in their last five games. They currently sit in 7th spot with an outside chance of making those play-offs, only needing just 4 points to gain a place.
Sutton remain in 12th position, with little to play for now only pride. But they are currently in their best form of the season, having only lost once in their last six games.
Last time these two sides met, The Royals were on the end of a 5-1 drubbing back at Coles Lane. Sutton are a different side now and have a point to prove after what was one of their worst games of the season.
Here’s to an entertaining and successful game.
