Following a disappointing draw last weekend after gifting 2 late goals against a struggling Daventry side Sutton travel to Harborough Town in the hope to get back to winning ways.
Harborough Town football club are based in Market Harborough, Leicestershire and play at Bowden Park. They were formed in 1975 and are nicknamed The Bees. Harborough Town play in a yellow and black kit at home and a red one away from home. In 2021/22 season they were Premier Division South champions which gave them promotion to the Northern Premier league.
Harborough Town are in 9th spot with 52 points and still have an outside chance of the play-offs. To do this, it would mean them winning all of their last 5 games to have a chance of a top 5 finish.
Sutton are mid table and still in 12th position on 41 points, and they look safe now from the bottom 4 places.
Harborough have had mixed results of late, beating the likes of Coleshill, but losing to St Neots. So, it will depend on which team turns up on Saturday as to weather a good result could be in the offering for Sutton.
Last time we met each other was at Coles Lane, where The Royals came away with nothing having lost the game 3-2. This was down to some poor defending from the long throw ins which cost us the goals, and ultimately the game.
Sutton are a more experienced side now, and should be more aware of what to expect against this physical and enterprising team.
Let’s hope The Lads can come back from Leicestershire with some points in the bag, and a good performance to go with it.
