After losing last Saturday at home to Shepshed, Sutton will be keen to end the season on a high with a victory in this end of season clash with Hinckley.
Hinckley LRFC is a club based in Hinckley. They were formed in November 2013 after the liquidation of Hinckley Utd. They play at the Leicester Road Stadium and are nicknamed the Knitters. They have a capacity of 6,250 and were promoted after coming second in the United Counties League Premier Division South after finishing second.
They play in orange and black away from home, and don a blue and red striped kit at home.
In 2016/17 they won the Leicestershire and Rutland Senior Cup.
This will be the second meeting between the two sides, with Sutton winning 2-1 at Coles Lane. Hinckley have struggled for a win more recently, with only one win in their last 10 games and that was against Boldmere.
Hinckley currently sit in 14th position on 41 points whereas Sutton are in 12th position on 47 points. Both sides are close in league position, although Sutton have won 4 more games than Hinckley this season.
Sutton have scored twice as many goals as Hinckley have this season, however, their defence is far better than Sutton’s so who will win out on the day? Will it be Sutton’s forwards or Hinckley’s defence?
It will be a close affair that’s for sure on what will hopefully be a positive end to the season.
