This Saturday, The Royals take on Gresley Rovers who are fighting a relegation battle.
This game comes on the back of two wins on the bounce, including a wonderful 5-3 home win against a high- flying Quorn.
Gresley Football Club are an English Club from Church Gresley in South Derbyshire and are a member of the Northern Premier League Division One Midlands. They play at the Moat ground and are nicknamed The Moatmen.
They were originally formed in 1882 and have a stadium capacity of 2,400. Their home colours are red and white and play in blue and white away from home.
Gresley’s recent honours include becoming the Southern League Premier Champions in 96/97, FA Vase runners up in 90/91 and Millennium Cup Champions in 99/00.
Gresley are currently in 19th position in the league with 19 points after 30 games. This is after having a difficult start to this campaign, and with only one win in their last twelve games, and that was against bottom club Rushden and Diamonds.
Sutton are in 9th spot after 31 games with 45 points and 2 wins in their last 2 games.
Last time these two sides met was back in December last year, where Sutton got a 7-1 win.
On paper and looking at form, Sutton will see this as an opportunity to get some more points on the board. But, as we know from our trip to AFC Rushden and Diamonds, they certainly can’t be underestimated and won’t be giving up without a fight.
Good luck to the lads, and hope to see you on the road for what promises to be a very entertaining and crucial game.
