It was a great victory last Saturday against Newcastle and was a long time coming, but we need now to get more points at home as the majority we have had have been on the road.
We need some positivity at home and there is no better time to start than against Wisbech Town this Saturday.
Wisbech are on a poor run of form at present with no wins in the last seven games. They currently lie in 19th position with the same amount of points as Sutton, so to say we are evenly matched is an understatement. With the home advantage Sutton will be looking to put them to the sword and get all three points. Anything else would be a fail with the quality players that Sutton have in their squad.
The last time Sutton played Wisbech was in the 98/99 season where we won 1-0, so we have good history with them.
Wisbech are based in Cambridgeshire and play at the Fenland Stadium. They are nicknamed the Fenmen. The Club was established in the 1920s by three local clubs merging together. Their recent honours include Eastern Counties League Champions in 1990-91 and League Cup winners in 2012-13.
Saturday should be a great game with two sides looking to move out of the bottom three, but if it’s to be Sutton, the lads will need your support.
Hope to see as many of you there as possible to cheer the lads on to three points.
Come on you Royals.
