This Saturday The Royals take on Sheffield FC down at Dronfield. After losing their unbeaten run on Tuesday night (only just!) The Royals will be keen to get back to winning ways against The Club (read further down for more information). The Royals performed incredibly well on Tuesday, and did the fans proud against one of the toughest and most inform sides in the division, only to lose it in the dying seconds.
Sheffield Football Club are originally from Sheffield South Yorkshire, but are now based in Dronfield Derbyshire. Founded in 1857, the club is officially recognized as the oldest club playing football in the world. They are nicknamed The Club, and play in red and black at the Coach and Horses Ground.
The last time Sutton played Sheffield was earlier in the season where Sutton lost 1-0 at home. Since then, The Royals have grown as a team and will be a different proposition this Saturday, proving a greater challenge for Sheffield.
Sheffield are currently eleventh in the league having played 27 games on 37 points. Sutton lie in seventh having played 28 games on 44 points, so not too much between the sides at present. They have only won three games in their last 14 games, so Sheffield’s form is very erratic of late and I’m sure the Royals can capitalize on this, especially if they play like they did on Tuesday night.
The play-offs are still possible so let’s get behind the lads and move into that illustrious top 5 position.
Come on you Royals.
