This Tuesday night sees Sutton’s first game against Worksop in the League. Sutton are travelling to Sandy Lane on the back of two thrashings, conceding 13 goals and only scoring one in both of those games. Last time out we won the game 1-0 which was overshadowed on the day with matters arising after the game.
Worksop are having a blistering start to their season having won three and earning a superb point at high flyers Belper last Saturday. A win tonight would see them go top of the table, so Sutton will have to be on their game to stop the Worksop train from pushing down the track.
Worksop Town are a club based in Nottinghamshire, they are nicknamed the Tigers and usually wear amber and black as their home kit.
They were founded in 1861, reformed in 1930 and the club play their home games at the Sandy Lane ground.
Sutton have had a week to forget, leaving the lads gutted, but they are working hard to put things right as are the management team. We must stand together and believe in the team as we have some great lads who we know can produce some great football. The results will come in time, Sutton had a slow start the previous two seasons and they came good, so let’s hope this season will follow a similar pattern.
Let’s get behind the lads on Tuesday.
