Histon FC are a Club based in the village of Histon and Impington, Cambridgeshire.
They play at the Glassworld Stadium, Bridge Road in Impington. Nicknamed the Stutes, it is the name derived from the Clubs previous name of Histon Institute. Histon’s crest features the Rose, which represents the rose-covered field given to the people of Histon and Impington permanently for sporting activities in the community. It was gifted by local firm Chivers and Sons.
They were formed in 1904 and play in back and red strips, the ground has a capacity of 3,800. More than enough for Suttons two men and a dog (As cited on Twitter following the Halesowen game)!
Histon have had a slow start to their campaign loosing 4-2 to Daventry and 2-1 to Belper and were recently knocked out the FA cup. Histon however achieved their first win on Tuesday night after beating Wisbech 2-1 away. They will obviously be looking to build on that result at home this Saturday.
This recent win moved them up to 14th in the table. Sutton earned another draw in a difficult game against Chasetown which means they are still unbeaten in the league this season and currently sit in seventh spot.
This will be a first meeting of these two sides, so who will get those three very important points? To find out travel with the lads to Cambridge and give them your support this Saturday.
