It’s another league game this Tuesday against Carlton Town. They are playing well in the league at the moment, despite getting knocked out of the FA cup on Saturday.
Carlton have had a very good start to the campaign, remaining unbeaten in their opening 4 games, and winning three of them against Cambridge, Daventry and Bedworth. They currently sit in sixth spot with a game in hand on the teams above them, so a win on Tuesday could take them into second position just behind Halesowen Town.
Carlton Town are based in Nottingham. They were formed in 1904, are nicknamed The Millers and play at the Bill Stokeld Stadium. They will be playing in their away colours of black and white.
More recently, Carlton became Division One champions in the Northern Counties East League in 2005-06, and Central Midlands League champions in 2002-03. They also won the Nottinghamshire Senior Cup in 2016-17.
Sutton have had a good start to the season, remaining unbeaten until that unfortunate loss to Coleshill Town. This has caused us to drop down to 10th in the table.
The last time Sutton played Carlton away they ended up losing 1-0. They will need to be on top form on Tuesday to bounce back from that last defeat and to start up another good run, which they are more than capable of doing.
Hope you all can make it to the Bill Stokeld Stadium and cheer the lads on.
Come on you Royals.
