Sutton take on Cambridge City this Tuesday evening at Coles Lane and will be desperate for their second win of the season.
Cambridge so far have had a mixed bag in the League. They have beaten Wisbech, but only got a draw against Soham and lost games against Halesowen, Coleshill, Belper and Carlton. These results have seen them languishing in 15th place, so they will be desperate to try to get some momentum against the Royals this Tuesday.
Sutton have had their own problems in recent weeks, with only 2 goals in their last 6 competitive games. Toothy and his team have gone out to rectify this by bringing in Marselia and he looked sharp on Saturday although didn’t get his goal.
Cambridge City are based in Impington and play at The Bridge. They currently ground share with fellow League team Histon while their new ground is being built at Sawston. They were founded in 1908 and are nicknamed the Lilywhites. They play in black and white at home and light blue and white away.
A player to watch out for is Ryan Sharman who scored on his first game back from an injury last week, and prior to this his banged in 47 goals for Cambridge.
The last time these two sides met at Coles Lane the result ended in a 1-1 draw, this was in the 18/19 season, so Sutton will be looking to go one better this time round.
Yes, it’s a Tuesday night, and yes, it’s getting colder, but the lads still need your support and we have had some great night games at Coles Lane.
So come down this Tuesday and see what you have been missing out on all these years!
