Sutton will be looking to get back to winning ways after losing their last league match away to Bedworth, and with Daventry in a poor run of form, Sutton will feel they have no better opportunity than this Saturday at Coles Lane.
The last time The Royals played Daventry was back in 13/14 in the FA Trophy. A game which they lost 1-0 away from home.
Daventry have struggled in the league this season, and have only won one league game so far against bottom club Histon.
Daventry sit in 19th place on 6 points, and with Sutton in 15th on 11 points, The Royals will feel the game is theirs for the taking, and take it they must or the bottom three will be becoming ever nearer.
Daventry are based in Northamptonshire and were a club formed in 1886, nicknamed The Purple Army, and not surprisingly they play in purple.
Daventry’s most recent honours are winning the United Counties Premier League Division in 2018/19, and winning the Northamptonshire FA / Hillier Cup in 2013/14.
The game on Saturday is one Sutton know they can win, but make no mistake, Daventry will be fully aware of the points we have dropped at home and will be coming to Coles Lane feeling they can take some points back with them.
The lads will need to take their chances, something which they have failed to do in recent weeks.
With the return of Nesbitt to bolster an already tasty looking forward line, who knows what could transpire.
Come down to Coles Lane this Saturday and hopefully witness Sutton’s third league win of the season.
