After a difficult start to Thorpe’s reign with no win yet in the league but some good performances from the lads, it’s a game which The Royal men will know that they can win after already beating them at home on the first game of the season.
The last two losses against Yaxley and Loughborough were difficult ones to take after being on top for large periods of both games, and finishing with nothing to show for it. The lads, just sometimes, have not had the run of the green, or decisions have gone against them to scupper points being added to the table.
Soham are currently bottom of the table, and after 19 games they have 9 points with only 2 victories against Shepshed Dynamo and Histon.
Sutton have 12 points and are in 17th spot, and a win on Saturday will keep them from falling into the bottom three.
Soham Town Rangers are a club based in Soham, Cambridgeshire and play their football at Julius Martin Lane.
They were founded in 1947 and play in green and white stripes at home, for obvious reasons they are nicknamed The Greens or sometimes just Rangers.
There recent honours include winners of the Cambridgeshire Invitation Cup in 05/06, and were winners of the Eastern Counties League in 07/08.
This really is a bottom of the table clash, and both teams will feel victory is a must. For the quality of players that Sutton have, to come away with nothing from this game will feel like a travesty.
We have a coach available, so book your seat for an exciting away trip to sunny Soham.
