Wisbech are on a poor run of form at present with no wins in the last four league games. Sutton will be looking to put them to the sword and get all three points, anything else would feel like failure to the team, especially with the quality of the players that Sutton have in their squad.
Wisbech Town have won four league games this season against Yaxley and Daventry, Soham and Corby which is equal to Sutton.
They sit in 18th position which is just one place below Sutton and The Royals themselves have not won in their last 3 games, so either way someone is going to correct that run this Saturday. Sutton are above Wisbech due to them having drawn 4 more games than Wisbech.
The last time Sutton played Wisbech was a few months ago where The Royals earnt a 2-2 draw away.
Wisbech are based in Cambridgeshire and play at the Fenland Stadium. They are nicknamed the Fenmen. The Club was established in the 1920s by three local clubs merging together. Their recent honours include Eastern Counties League Champions in 1990-91 and League Cup winners in 2012-13.
The Fenman play their home matches in a red strip and away in a green strip.
Saturday should be a great game with two sides looking to move out of the bottom half of the table, and if it’s to be Sutton, the lads will need your support. In order to offer you the chance to support the team, the club have very kindly offered all supporters free admission to this game. You heard right, FREE ADMISSION for all, so even more reason to come down and support the lads.
We will also be having a bucket collection in the second half for Julie who is a loyal friend of the club. She has faced challenges for many years now due to having multiple sclerosis (MS). As many of you will already know, she is now unable to walk. So, in order to help her maintain her independence, the non-league community are pulling together to raise enough money to provide her with a much-needed electric wheelchair.
Any money you can throw in the bucket will go to funds already raised, and hopefully we’ll raise enough money to buy her a suitable chair.
Hope to see as many of you as possible at Coles Lane on Saturday, no excuses, it’s free. Where else can you get see free football this weekend?
Come on you Royals.
