Sutton have had a two week break with the cancelation of last Saturday’s game, but would have been disappointed not to have played that game after the fantastic win over Stamford the week before.
Sutton are now in 17th place in the table on 25 points, Bedworth are in 9th place on 42 points having had 12 wins so far this season which is double that of Sutton Coldfield Town.
Bedworth United are based in Bedworth, Warwickshire and play at the Oval Ground.
They were founded in 1895 and are nicknamed The Greenbacks and not surprisingly play in an all-green strip.
Originally, they were known as Bedworth Town and were founder members of the Nuneaton and District league.
Bedworth have won the Birmingham Senior in 1981/82 and the Midland Floodlit Cup in 1992/93. The last time they were champions in any league was in 1949/50 season when they won the Birmingham Combination League.
The last time The Royals played the Greenbacks we lost 1-0 away, which was a very below par performance on the evening.
Sutton will be hoping for a continuation of the excellent performance and result from the previous home game, and with a good home crowd behind the lads you would not bet against them.
A win on Saturday could see Sutton move away from that danger Zone, and give some very much needed breathing space in the final few fixtures.
Hope to see as many of you that can make this fixture at Coles Lane on Saturday.
