It’s another league game this Saturday at Coles Lane. This is the second time we have met Carlton this season, having lost the previous meeting 2-0.
Sutton are a different side from the one that met Carlton back in September, with some new players and a team that have come through some tough battles together. So, Sutton will be relishing the chance to get revenge in this reverse fixture, especially as Sutton are on an unbeaten in three games and looking to head up the table.
Carlton have recently suffered a loss in form having only won once in the last six league games, but they are still in seventh place on 53 points. They are still contenders for a play-off position come the end of the season, so all points matter at this time.
Carlton Town are based in Nottingham. They were formed in 1904, are nicknamed The Millers and play at the Bill Stokeld Stadium. They will be playing in their away colours of black and white.
More recently, Carlton became Division One champions in the Northern Counties East League in 2005-06 and Central Midlands League champions in 2002-03. They also won the Nottinghamshire Senior Cup in 2016-17.
Sutton will be hoping their good run continues this Saturday, and will need your support to get all three points. So come on down to Coles Lane and let’s get behind Thorpe’s men.
You will be entertained for sure.
Come on you Royals.
